According to Mediaite, Enten began by comparing Trump's transition net approval from November 2016, which was a mere plus one point, to the present figures. "Look at where we are today. Significantly higher, plus 18 points at 17 points higher on the presidential transition, net approval rating," he stated.
Enten further elaborated that the American public, which was lukewarm towards Trump eight years ago, is now more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. "A lot more Americans are in love with this transition, this much more meets the historical norms where normally presidents get that boost coming out of their victory," he said. He added that Trump's presidential transition is receiving a positive response, even a double thumbs up, from the American people.
CNN anchor Omar Jimenez questioned the public sentiment towards Trump's presidency in light of his cabinet picks. Enten responded by pointing out that the public's optimism isn't confined to Trump's current actions; they are also hopeful about the future.
TRUMP'S FAMILY CIRCLE LOOKS DIFFERENT THIS TIME AROUND!
"Eight years ago, 53% of Americans were scared or concerned, the majority towards the upcoming Trump term. Look at where we are now. The shoe is on the other foot," Enten explained. He further clarified that the majority of Americans are now excited or optimistic about Trump's term, a stark contrast to the apprehension that dominated eight years ago.

Jimenez then shifted the focus to the confirmation of Trump's cabinet picks by the Senate, expressing concern about the Republicans' stance on these selections given their majority. He also questioned the Democrats' position, considering their strong opposition to Trump's picks and his presidency in 2017.
In response, Enten described the Democrats as exhausted and worn out by the opposition. "Donald Trump wears out his opponents. And I think they’ve done that here," he said.
Enten concluded by highlighting the Democrats' response to Trump's victory. "Just 44% say they oppose Donald Trump. The majority, of the 56%, 46% say ‘it doesn’t motivate me at all,’ which I think is really the exhaustion pick, right?" he said. He added that 10% of Democrats say Trump's win motivates them to support him, resulting in a total of 56% who do not oppose Trump, significantly higher than the 44% who do.
THIS BLUE CITY WANTS TO HELP TRUMP WITH MASS DEPORTATIONS
Enten's analysis paints a picture of a nation that is increasingly supportive of Trump and his upcoming term. The Republicans are highly motivated by Trump's win, while the Democrats appear to be weary and less oppositional than they were eight years ago. As Trump's inauguration approaches, it remains to be seen how these dynamics will play out.
