The Kennedy assassination, a subject of countless conspiracy theories for over half a century, has been linked to potential involvement from organized crime syndicates or government agencies, including the CIA. There is a widespread belief that Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin, did not act alone.
According to Newsweek, a CIA spokesperson revealed in December 2022 that 95 percent of the agency's files related to the Kennedy assassination had "been released in their entirety." Trump, however, has consistently vowed to declassify the remaining documents. During his first term, he released thousands of documents while simultaneously withholding hundreds, stating in a 2017 memo, "I have no choice," due to the "potentially irreversible harm" to national security if all were published. The files were legally mandated to be released in 2017 unless they posed a national security risk. President Joe Biden also released several thousand files.
Trump, who has survived two assassination attempts, has committed to releasing the remaining files during his forthcoming term, which commences in January. In a June podcast episode, he insinuated that the CIA was "probably behind" the efforts to prevent the release of certain files related to Kennedy's assassination. He further stated, "I'm just going to do it," and that "it's going to be done early on."
TRUMP'S FAMILY CIRCLE LOOKS DIFFERENT THIS TIME AROUND!
In August, Trump announced at a rally, "I am announcing tonight that upon my election, I will establish a new independent presidential commission on assassination attempts, and they will be tasked with releasing all the remaining documents relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy." He also mentioned Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kennedy's nephew, stating, "He lost his father and uncle in service to our country, and Bobby himself was subject to repeated threats to his safety during the course of his campaign." He added that the commission is "a tribute in honor of Bobby."
GAVIN NEWSOM IS UP AGAINST A VERY BLOODY FIGHT!
Following his victory in the 2024 presidential election, Trump nominated Kennedy Jr. as secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). Kennedy Jr., who has consistently claimed that the CIA was directly involved in his uncle's assassination, posted a remembrance of his uncle on social media.
Kennedy was assassinated 61 years ago, on November 22, 1963, as his motorcade traversed Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, Texas. The president, who was 46 at the time, was struck in the neck and head by bullets while seated in the backseat of a convertible with his wife, first lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
THIS BLUE CITY WANTS TO HELP TRUMP WITH MASS DEPORTATIONS
Oswald, a New Orleans native, was 24 years old at the time of his assassination. He had begun working at the Texas School Book Depository a month prior to the assassination and had previously served in the U.S. Marines. Oswald was fatally shot by Jack Ruby during a jail transfer in the Dallas County Jail two days after Kennedy's assassination.
EEK! ASSESSMENTS ROLL IN FOR KJP—AND MAN, SOME ARE BRUTAL!
In the following year, President Lyndon B. Johnson established the Warren Commission to investigate the assassination. The commission concluded that Oswald acted alone in assassinating Kennedy and also shot and killed Officer J.D. Tippit on the same day. However, the House Assassinations Committee, after a two-year investigation that concluded in 1978, found that Kennedy "was probably assassinated as the result of a conspiracy" and that "scientific acoustical evidence establishes a high probability that two gunmen fired."
