Newt Gingrich, the former Republican House Speaker, expressed his skepticism on Fox News about President Joe Biden's ability to sway voters with his extensive advertising campaign, given the prevailing economic issues.

Gingrich's comments came in the wake of a viral video showing former President Barack Obama seemingly assisting Biden off a fundraiser stage, sparking a debate among Democrats about Biden's reelection prospects.

According to the Daily Caller, Gingrich appeared on "Hannity" and addressed the concerns of voters, including inflation, the ongoing border crisis, and crime rates. He questioned the effectiveness of Biden's campaign, stating, "I don’t care how many million dollars Biden raises, his advertising can’t overcome the reality of going to the gas station, not being able to afford to buy a house, not being able to find a good job, learning that immigrants now are getting more jobs than Americans."

Gingrich further argued that the public discourse, which extends beyond television and social media, is largely unfavorable for Biden. He said, "All these things fit in and people talk to each other way beyond television and way beyond social media. The conversation’s almost all bad for Joe Biden.”

Despite Biden's recent fundraising success in Los Angeles, where he raised $28 million with the help of Hollywood's elite, his campaign efforts have not translated into a lead in key battleground states. Former President Donald Trump continues to dominate these areas, according to various polls.

A May poll conducted by the New York Times and Siena College projected Trump to outperform Biden in a head-to-head race in five of the six key swing states in the 2024 election, including Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. The poll also revealed a significant dissatisfaction among voters, with over 70% stating that the country's economic and political systems require "major changes." Only 13% believed Biden could implement the necessary changes in a second term.
