According to Newsweek, a noteworthy gathering is set to take place in the heart of Washington D.C. on June 26.

The event, dubbed the "Hot Girl Summer women's happy hour," is being hosted by the Washington D.C. Young Republicans and will feature special guests such as House Republican Lauren Boebert, Newsmax host Jenn Pellegrino, and Ginger Gaetz, wife of Representative Matt Gaetz.

The event is slated to be held at the Takoda Navy Yard Rooftop, a popular bar located at 1299 1st Street SE. Attendees are expected to arrive at 6 p.m. ET. Among the special guests, Lauren Boebert, who currently represents Colorado's third congressional district, is in the race to be her party's nominee for the state's more conservative fourth congressional district in the upcoming November elections. A recent Kaplan Strategies poll indicates that Boebert is leading the six-way GOP primary race with a solid 40 percent support, leaving her competitors trailing with single-digit figures.

The Washington D.C. Young Republicans, in an effort to promote the event, published a pink-themed graphic on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter. The graphic, which has garnered over 103,000 views since Friday, features headshots of the three special guests, along with silhouettes of women in bikinis and palm trees. An attached RSVP form cautions that "space is limited," urging interested attendees to respond by June 25.

Jenn Pellegrino, another special guest, is a well-known anchor for the conservative-leaning network Newsmax. She previously served as the White House correspondent for the One America News Network, another media outlet associated with the political right. Pellegrino recently celebrated former President Donald Trump's 78th birthday by sharing a throwback photo of herself questioning him at a White House press event on X. She captioned the post, "Throwback to the days when we had a President who took questions from EVERYONE in the briefing room! Happy birthday, President Donald Trump!"

Ginger Gaetz, the third special guest, identifies herself as an "AI innovator" on X and boasts a following of over 69,000. She tied the knot with Matt Gaetz, the Florida representative and ardent Trump supporter, in 2021.

The Washington D.C. Young Republicans and Rep. Lauren Boebert were contacted for comment via media inquiry form and email respectively, outside of usual office hours on Saturday.

The Republican primary for Colorado's 4th congressional district is set to occur on June 25. A Kaplan Strategies poll of 343 registered likely voters has given Boebert a favorability rating of 47 percent. Douglas County Republican Party chair Steve Peck, in a conversation with Newsweek, expressed his satisfaction with the result, stating, "Kaplan's recent polling confirms what many of us in the community know: that Lauren Boebert has extensive name recognition, and resonates with many voters based on her tenacity and fearlessness to not only champion Republican causes and principles, but repel the encroachment of Democrat policies."

Boebert, however, has not been without controversy. In September 2023, she was asked to leave a performance of a musical after refusing to stop vaping and taking photographs. Video footage later surfaced that seemed to show Boebert and a male companion behaving inappropriately at the show. The congresswoman initially denied any wrongdoing but later apologized for her actions.

Earlier this month, Boebert was welcomed with music from a local radio station, KOA, when she arrived for an interview in Denver, Colorado. As the political landscape continues to evolve, events like the "Hot Girl Summer women's happy hour" serve as a testament to the ongoing engagement and activity within the conservative community.
