Stephen King, the acclaimed horror novelist, has once again taken to social media to express his disdain for Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's views, this time focusing on her stance on electric vehicles.

According to Newsweek, Greene made an appearance at a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted by former President Donald Trump on June 9. During her speech, she insinuated that the rise in electric vehicles would lead to an increase in gas prices. "If you think gas prices are high now, just wait until you are forced to drive an electric vehicle," the Georgia Representative told the enthusiastic crowd, adding, "America is sick of it."

King, known for his biting commentary, took to his social media platform, formerly Twitter, to mock Greene's assertions. "MTG: 'If you think gas prices are high now, wait til they make you buy an electric vehicle.' You can't make this crap up," the author quipped.

Greene, a fervent supporter of Trump, who is the anticipated Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential race, has been a vocal critic of the Biden administration's push for electric vehicles. This initiative is part of a larger strategy to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions. In August 2022, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law, offering tax credits to individuals who purchase electric vehicles and businesses that invest in electric vehicle infrastructure.

This is not the first time King has publicly criticized Greene. In April, Greene lambasted her GOP colleagues who voted in favor of a Ukraine aid bill. The bill, which allocated $60 billion to assist Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia, was described by Greene as "the sellout of America today."

Greene expressed her outrage to reporters outside the Capitol building, stating, "We had members of Congress in there waving the Ukrainian flag on the United States House of Representatives floor while we're doing nothing to secure our border. I think every American in this country should be furious."

In response, King dubbed Greene "Moscow Marjorie," a moniker initially bestowed upon her by former Republican congressman Ken Buck.

Earlier this year, King also criticized Greene for her approval of the partial government shutdown. Greene had shared a post by journalist Joyce Karam, which read, "SCOOP: Hundreds of US Gov. Employees plan Walkout on Tuesday over Biden's Gaza Policies. **22 Agencies** involved."

Greene responded, "Another reason I won't feel guilty over a government shutdown. Too many federal employees are nothing more than political activists. This will be a great list to fire ASAP!"

King, in his characteristic style, retorted, "Do you keep getting paid, dear?"
