In a recent interview with Tim Pool, former President Donald Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee, reflected on his unprecedented visit to North Korea.

The interview, which took place at the Libertarian National Convention, covered a range of topics, including global conflict and foreign leaders.

Pool, the host of "Timcast," began by acknowledging his Korean heritage and commending Trump for his audacious act of crossing the demilitarized zone into North Korea, a gesture of goodwill towards a traditionally hostile nation. Pool expressed his frustration with those who deny the event's occurrence and sought clarification from Trump on how it transpired.

Trump responded by noting the uniqueness of his action, stating, "And it hasn't happened since." He recalled his initial meeting with his predecessor, President Obama, who had identified North Korea as the single greatest threat to the world. Trump questioned whether Obama had attempted to engage in dialogue with North Korea, emphasizing that regardless of the response, Obama perceived North Korea as the world's most significant threat.

Trump went on to describe the initial hostility he faced, which eventually transformed into a surprisingly harmonious relationship. He confidently asserted that had Hillary Clinton won the presidency, the world would have seen a nuclear war and the loss of millions of lives. He credited his rapport with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for preventing such a catastrophe.

On June 30, 2019, Trump made history by shaking hands with Kim Jong Un after crossing 20 steps into North Korean territory from South Korea at the Korean Demilitarized Zone. The Associated Press reported that Special Agent in Charge Anthony Ornato accompanied Trump during this historic moment. Following their meeting, Trump and Kim Jong Un held a joint press conference.

When asked by Pool if he ever felt fear while crossing into enemy territory, Trump admitted that the Secret Service was not particularly enthusiastic about the idea. However, he felt secure due to his relationship with Kim Jong Un, which had evolved from hostility to mutual respect.

Trump praised Kim Jong Un's intelligence and strength, asserting that he is the undisputed leader of North Korea. He emphasized the importance of having a competent president to prevent World War III, warning that the consequences of inadequate leadership could be catastrophic.

Pool pointed out that some believe we are already in World War III, citing an article from The Hill claiming that President Joe Biden is "losing it." Trump concurred, arguing that foreign leaders are astounded by Biden's performance as President of the United States.

Trump criticized Biden's inability to "fix anything," including himself. He contrasted Biden with other world leaders, whom he described as sharp, tough, and smart, and deeply committed to their countries. He expressed disbelief at Biden's presidency, stating, "It's not the right person."
