In an unexpected development, David Plouffe, a former senior advisor to ex-President Barack Obama, and Kellyanne Conway, a staunch supporter and ex-advisor to former President Donald Trump, have joined forces to launch a new political podcast.

This news has reportedly caused a stir within the campaign team supporting President Joe Biden's reelection, as reported by Politico's West Wing Playbook.

The unease within the Biden camp is primarily due to Plouffe's close ties with them, often serving as a trusted advisor. The Politico report suggests that the team is not taking kindly to Plouffe's new partnership with Conway, who is known for her unwavering support of Trump and his controversial political style.

A Biden campaign aide, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed their concerns candidly, stating, "Trump is openly running to rip apart American democracy, and David Plouffe cares so much about stopping him he’s teaming up with the founder of ‘alternative facts’ and a chief Trump enabler to profit off an election he ought to be in the trenches fighting to win."

The aide further added, "This will not end well — maybe this is the real ‘Bowling Green Massacre’ KAC knew was coming all along," making a sarcastic reference to a fictitious event Conway once mentioned.

Despite Conway's admission in her book that Trump lost the 2020 election, contradicting his ongoing false claims, her steadfast support of Trump and his potential plans for an authoritarian-style second term are seen as endorsing Trump's brand of politics.

Politico also reported that other Biden aides chose not to comment on Plouffe and Conway's collaboration, with some fearing professional repercussions. However, not all Biden staffers were perturbed by the news of the upcoming podcast. An unnamed Biden official, who previously worked for Obama, said, "We have a lot of respect for [Plouffe] and keep in close touch. Everyone knows what his values are. Democrats debate Republicans all the time. This really hasn’t come up much."
