In a grand event on Wednesday evening, President Joe Biden hosted a state dinner at the White House in honor of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

The event was graced by a host of celebrities, including Robert De Niro, Tiffany Chen, and Jeff Bezos, among others.

The President and First Lady Jill Biden entertained over 200 guests in the White House East Room, serving a specially prepared menu featuring house-cured salmon, dry-aged rib-eye steak, and matcha ganache. The guest list was a veritable who's who of Democratic figures, tech industry leaders, and Biden family members.

Robert De Niro, a renowned Hollywood actor and vocal critic of former President Trump, attended the event alongside his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen. Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were among the distinguished guests at the top table.

The state dinner, a significant tool of U.S. diplomacy, is an honor bestowed sparingly and only to America's closest allies. This marks the fifth time Japan has received this honor, reflecting the country's importance in Biden's policy toward the Indo-Pacific region.

Prime Minister Kishida is on an official visit to the U.S. this week, with the state dinner being Biden's first this year.
