Ginni Thomas, a conservative activist and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, said she is looking forward to having the chance to "clear up misconceptions" following news the January 6 House Select Committee is pursuing her testimony.

"I can’t wait to clear up misconceptions. I look forward to talking to them," Thomas told the Daily Caller of the request for her to testify.

Thomas did not say what fallacies the committee views.

In what can only be seen as an excuse for the Democrats to either impeach Clarence Thomas or argue to expand the court before they lose all their power in November, the January 6 commission is using texts between Trump-supporting Thomas and her husband's former law clerk who is now an attorney.

Committee Chair Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., told reporters on Thursday, "We have sent Ms. Thomas a letter asking [her] to come and talk to the committee."

The committee wishes to speak with Thomas because they found "some information that refers to Ginni Thomas" in emails between her and Trump lawyer John Eastman, Thompson told Axios.

Eastman, the committee has said, had a key role in the former President's efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Thomas told The Washington Free Beacon in March that she attended Trump's rally on January 6 that took place ahead of the Capitol attack but that she left early, before the then-president took the stage, because she had gotten cold.

The committee’s first intention in interviewing Thomas is to determine her role, if any, in Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, Politico reported. The emails between Thomas and Eastman are still in the "discovery phase," Thompson said, but could be mentioned "at some point" during the January 6 hearings.

Ginni Thomas is listed as an administrator of a Facebook group that goes by the name and description: “FrontLiners for Liberty.”

The private group, which has more than 50 members, was created in August 2020, just two months before the November elections, according to the page’s description.

The group, which CNBC reviewed before it was removed from public view, described itself as “a new collaborative, liberty-focused, action-oriented group of state leaders representing grassroots armies to CONNECT, INFORM and ACTIVATE each other weekly to preserve constitutional governance.” Although Thomas’ personal Facebook page isn’t confirmed, it contains several photos of Justice Thomas.

The group’s pages were withdrawn from public view after CNBC contacted Thomas about the organization. It now shows a notice from Facebook saying that it’s either been deleted or the privacy settings have been changed.

CNBC also tried to get answers through Facebook messenger to Stephanie Coleman, who is also listed administrator of the group and the wife of the late Gregory Coleman who was Texas’ solicitor general. Greg Coleman was once a clerk for Justice Thomas.

Coleman and Thomas are repeatedly pictured together on Coleman’s personal Facebook page, including a photo of the two together in December 2016 with former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.
