President Biden’s formal visit to the Clayco Inc. construction site near Chicago on Thursday comes after the company’s CEO donated over $137,000 to the president's 2020 campaign.

Biden visited the construction site in Elk Grove to discuss COVID-19 safety after giving an address regarding the value of work vaccine requirements.

Clayco CEO Bob Clark is a big Democratic donor who donated over $137,000 to Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, according to records with the Federal Election Commission.

Clark further worked as a bundler, bringing in no less than $100,000 to Biden’s 2020 campaign, and donated $1.6 million to Democratic campaigns in total, Forbes reported.

American Accountability Foundation president Tom Jones described Thursday's visit as "blatant paid-to-play."

"Whether it is ambassadorships or other senior administration positions, the Biden Administration has continuously rewarded those who financially boosted their campaign," he told Fox Business. "Continuing the swampy practices of blatant paid-to-play should be of no surprise considering Biden has been in a position for the past 40 years."

Last month, Biden announced he would utilize his presidential powers to require two-thirds of American workers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus or test all employees weekly. That would affect 100 million workers. Companies with 100 employees or more are affected by the mandate. The details are still being worked out by OSHA.

"Today I'm calling on more employers to act," Biden announced. "My message is: require your employees to get vaccinated, vaccinations are the way we're going to beat this pandemic finally."

President Biden praised Rush University Medical Center for requiring its employees to receive the shot, stating it raised the vaccination rate there from 72% to over 95%.

The president claimed that the push for vaccine mandates is already making a difference, with almost 30 million more people getting their shots after his first vaccine mandate for federal workers over the summer.

The White House announced vaccination requirements have raised vaccination rates by 20 percentage points to more than 90% in many organizations.

A White House report discovered that 185 million Americans are now vaccinated, up from 2 million when Biden took office at the end of January. The report stated the vaccination campaign has saved over 100,000 lives.

The White House announced that Biden chose Chicago, which is the home of United Airlines, one of the first big carriers to ask for shots for its 67,000 employees.

"Vaccination requirements are good for the economy," the president stated. "Not only increasing vaccination rates but to help send people back to work."

Mayor Lightfoot and Governor Pritzker have both issued vaccine mandates of their own.
