The group that focused on Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., leaking a nude video of him online, says they are now going to shame another outspoken Republican member of Congress, Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo.

American Muckrakers PAC relentlessly went after Cawthorn before the North Carolina GOP primary election that Cawthorn ultimately lost.

“I think we’re gonna go after Lauren Boebert in Colorado in a similar way,” the group’s co-founder, David B. Wheeler, told Insider. “I think we’re gonna engage in that race pretty quickly.”

Boebert faces off against Colorado State Sen. Don Coram in a June 28 contest.

Wheeler told the outlet that he has “interesting information” about Boebert. Stressing that what he supposedly has on her is “certainly not as salacious as some of the Cawthorn stuff,” Wheeler said the information has to do with finances.

Wheeler’s organization got involved in Cawthorn’s race using FireMadison.com. Wheeler said he has similarly “procured domain names and Twitter handles’ ‘such as “Fire Boebert,” He said a website should be live later this week. A page with the address FireBoebert.com has a “Coming Soon!” message.

Cawthorn was a fresh-faced outsider elected to Congress to give voice to Americans young and old fed up with “wokeism.”

However, to his critics, he was a shameless opportunist more interested in personal branding than public service.

Neither friend nor foe could dispute that he brought plenty of attention and had a firm claim to be the face of an under-tapped constituency: the young Conservative.

Madison Cawthorn’s hold on that fame concluded on Tuesday night after losing his bid to renew his title as America’s youngest congressman.

The 26-year-old was defeated in a party primary contest in his safely Republican rural North Carolina district by a slim margin, about 1,500 votes.

Seven challengers had vied for his seat, and the nomination was won by Chuck Edwards, a state senator who had earned the backing of North Carolina’s seasoned senator and the more established elements of the party.
