The Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, which took place virtually in July 2021, garnered viral attention on Tuesday after videos were shared on Twitter by Conservative activist and Manhattan Institute senior fellow Christopher Rufo. They announced that the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Philadelphia public schools had sent invitations to the conference through email to district teachers and staff.
In videos shared by Rufo, demonstrators can be seen describing their various sexual activities, varying from organizing orgies to exploring different “kinks.”

In a presentation on gender transitions, Scott Mosser, a plastic surgeon at the San Francisco Gender Confirmation Center, explained to the viewers that while he hasn’t yet performed a gender transition surgery on a 12-year-old, he would at least offer a consultation “if one came our way.”

“I do not have a minimum age of any sort in my practice,” Mosser said. “There’s no chronological age that says you won’t get surgery.”
“I think I’ve done one or two 13-year-old surgeries,” he continued.
The most extreme presentation at the three-day conference was “Trans Sex: Banging Beyond Binaries.” Jamie Joy, a self-described “kinky,” “polyamorous,” “pretty big slut,” and Lucie Fielding, a self-described “White, queer, kinky, polyamorous, visibly able-bodied, Jewish, witchy, non-binary, trans femme” led the session. The women-led a politically correct anatomical language presentation, including terms like “front hole” and “back hole.” They shared personal information regarding organizing orgies for participants to “explore their fantasies and their perversions in groups.” The instructors then discussed many “kink” activities, including fetishes regarding puppies, Mary Poppins, and spanking. “I haven’t gotten to explore a lot of my mommy kink. And I think for tonight I really want to feel cared for, but also get punished a little bit,” Joy announced.

In his thread detailing the particulars of the conference, Rufo announced that the Mazzoni Center hosted the event. This Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization states it provides “quality comprehensive health and wellness services in an LGBTQ-focused environment.”

According to the Mazzoni Center’s 2021 annual report, the group got more than $5 million in funding from government contracts, far more than the approximately $200,000 in donations it had already gotten.
At least one Philadelphia elementary school, Alexander Adaire School, contracted with the center to provide educational services, which the center states are “rooted in LGBTQ theory and history.”
