Jim Schwertner, CEO of Schwertner Farms just north of Austin, has offered up to 100 acres of land to contribute to magnate Elon Musk in an attempt to move the Twitter company’s headquarters to Texas.

The land is precisely located just off of Interstate 35, some 35 or so north of the city of Austin, in an area where numerous other tech companies have been relocating to in past years, including Musk’s own Tesla company, as well as his other enterprises, SpaceX and the Boring Company.

On Tuesday, Schwerner tweeted, “Elon Musk, Move Twitter to Schwertner, TX. 38 Miles North of Austin in Williamson County, and we will give you 100 Acres for FREE “

According to the Daily Wire, Schwertner iterated in an interview with local news: “We think it’s a good idea, especially when you’ve got Samsung coming to Taylor.”

He went on, “I mean, this area is exploding and we want to be part of this explosive growth,” mentioning that he thought the presence of a Musk-owned Twitter would be “a win-win for everybody.”

“I just think with all the stuff he’s done, he evidently likes Texas, right or he wouldn’t have moved from California. And I want to be part of his plan if he’ll come visit with us.”

With over 20,000 acres across both Bell and Williamson counties, Schwertner announced that Musk could have his pick of which 100 acres to plant Twitter.

“We think this is a place to have new technology,” Schwertner stated. “This has always been a rural area for agriculture, but it’s changing fast. And so we thought, “Why not let Elon Musk be the catalyst to make it happen?”

Schwertner believes the move would be a mutual win.

“We have a lot of land. This area is really growing. We have affordable housing, and I thought it’d be an excellent opportunity for him and for us,” Schwertner announced.

He’s a big fan of Musk’s.

“Elon Musk is the greatest thing that ever happened to Texas and central Texas,” Schwertner stated. “When he came here from California and brought SpaceX and Tesla, and then The Boring Company, it’s a big boom for Texas and central Texas.”

In a sense, Twitter employees would hardly be influenced by the move. This is because they are presently permitted to work from home as much as they want and wherever they want.

“We’ve always been entrepreneurs in our family and we’ve always tried to help the communities,” Schwertner went on. “And I think my offer is a serious gesture to help the citizens around Williamson County.”
