Of the 646 cases, 140 involved the New York Post’s story about Hunter Biden’s laptop, with Twitter acting as the most aggressive censor. The largest category of censored cases included 232 posts that attempted to blast the President’s behavior towards women and children.
One example is Facebook , which reportedly deleted a user’s post for violating community standards on “nudity or sexual activity.” The post showed three photos of Biden kissing a little girl, said to be his granddaughter, on the lips with the caption: “Find someone who kisses you the way Joe Biden kisses his granddaughter.”

MRC also pointed out that Big Tech attacked posts quoting Biden’s own words. In one cited example, Instagram removed Conservative outlet Breaking 911’s post quoting Biden about COVID-19 vaccines saying, “Freedom! ... I have the freedom to kill you with my COVID. No, I mean, come on! Freedom?!” A screenshot from Instagram showed the post was removed for promoting “violence and incitement.”

Other censorship included posts involving Biden’s negative coverage concerning energy policy or rising inflation. MRC’s CensorTrack team logged more than 3,600 overall cases of censorship against Conservative outlets, individuals, or posts across multiple social media platforms. Overall, censored topics included discussion regarding elections, COVID-19, climate change, and race.

Such reports of censorship come as Tesla, and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk have been critical of social media censorship, bidding to buy Twitter for $43 billion and vowing to take the company private so it can serve as “an inclusive arena for free speech” in which people “are able to speak freely within the bounds of the law.”
