Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., paid her daughter another $24,000 in campaign cash throughout the most recent quarter, Federal Election Commission records reviewed by Fox News Digital reveal.

Karen Waters, who has been organizing slate-mailing operations to bolster her mother's re-election for almost two decades, and her company, Progressive Connections, have received over $1.2 million since 2003 for campaign services, including "slate mailer management" fees and "campaign managing services."

A "Citizens for Waters" campaign committee filing from earlier this week reveals that the younger Waters got $24,000 from the committee between January and March 2022.

Slate-mailing is an uncommon practice in federal elections, where a consulting company is hired to create a pamphlet of sorts that contains a list of candidates or policy measures, and advises voters how to cast their ballots.

Rep. Waters was reportedly the only federal politician to use a slate-mailer operation throughout the 2020 general election.

Both Democrats and Republicans have paid relatives with campaign contributions over the years. While it's legal for federal lawmakers to employ family members on campaigns, the practice is generally frowned upon by ethics specialists.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., paid out almost $3 million to her husband Tim Mynett's political consulting firm, the E Street Group, over several years.

The E Street Group's biggest client was Omar's campaign, which supplied the business with almost 80 percent of all its cash from federal committees, before ceasing the payments after they came under scrutiny.

Far-left Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., Omar's mentor in Congress, added $194,000 in payments to the E Street Group for digital consulting.

Following questions over the arrangement, Omar terminated the contract in November 2020. Mynett and his business partner, Will Hailer, started consulting the wine industry.

However, the E Street Group seems to be shifting back to the political consulting world. In February, the E Street Group received its first federal committee payment in more than a year, which was sent from a committee linked to Omar, Fox News Digital reported this week.

Meanwhile, Waters sparked outrage among a crowd of homeless Americans late last week when she told them to "go home" throughout a tense confrontation in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Times, which reported on the incident, insisted the 83-year-old progressive congresswoman tried to stop the outlet from publishing the story by warning its investigative reporter they would "hurt" themselves and the community.

Waters had reportedly been attempting to subdue a riled-up group of people who had come to a nonprofit advocacy group's event, misled by a social media post into thinking they could obtain Section 8 vouchers for permanent subsidized housing.

Fathers and Mothers Who Care, the group which opened its South Los Angeles office to assist California's homeless get emergency shelter, found itself swamped with 'hundreds of people' who were frustrated and growing rowdy.
