The email was one of many details published in a December 13 report by the Jan 6 Select Committee one day before it is supposed to vote on advancing contempt of Congress charges against Meadows.
Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson further stressed in the report that Meadows "received text messages and emails regarding apparent efforts to encourage Republican legislators in certain states to send alternate slates of electors to Congress, a plan which one member of Congress acknowledged was 'highly controversial' and to which Mr. Meadows responded, 'I love it.'"

Another text sent "to one of — by one of the President's family members saying that Mr. Meadows is, “pushing hard,” for a statement from President Trump to, quote, 'condemn this s***,' happening at the Capitol."
