To celebrate Thanksgiving, the Black Lives Matter organization tweeted out, "you are eating dry turkey and overcooked stuffing on stolen land."

The statement was in line with a lot of leftist pundits and media outlets trying to equate the holiday with genocide and white supremacy.

The tweets were ratioed hard, with many calling out the founders of BLM, like Patrisse Khan-Cullors, who bought multiple million-dollar houses in high-end neighborhoods and then erected walls and fences to defend them.

Cullors brought property near Malibu, which is thought to have been home to the Chumash and the Tongva people. This civilization was tens of thousands of people strong, and they occupied a 7,000 square mile territory. Chumash means "seashell people," and they were reliant on the ocean for sustenance. The Tongva had a comparable lifestyle and were appreciated for their boat-building abilities.

Both of these groups were wiped out by the Spanish settlers and their mission system. Descendants of those tribes proceed to push for acceptance of their heritage, culture, and language.

It is on this land that BLM c-founder Cullors purchased and fenced off her homestead.

The finances of the national BLM organization have repeatedly been denounced as chapters claim to have got next to nothing from the over $90 million raised in 2020 after the death of George Floyd.

As protests broke out across the nation, corporations and individuals forked over millions of dollars to the organization, and Cullors went on a real estate buying binge. The self-described Marxist purchased four high-end homes for $3.2 million in the U.S. alone.

She was further shopping for homes in the Bahamas and for different luxury homes valued between $5 million and $20 million.

Black Lives Matter of Greater New York City called for "an independent investigation" to discover where the national organization spent their fundraised money.

Many have blamed Cullors and the other BLM founders for fraud. After Cullors's real estate buying binge became public, she left the organization.

Originally posted on Instagram and later tweeted and retweeted, the statement condemned the U.S. embargo for the nation's instability and credited the Cuban government for historically granting "Black revolutionaries" asylum.

Cuba is being "punished by the U.S. government because the country has maintained its commitment to sovereignty and self-determination," the statement read. The group announced that Cuba has been an ally with "oppressed peoples of African descent" and glorified the nation's effort to protect "Black revolutionaries like Assata Shakur."
