Howard Stern

Radio host legend, Howard Stern, made a brief foray into the world of politics when he declared he would run for mayor of New York in 1994. He was set to run against George Pataki and Mario Cuomo, the father of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. However, at the last minute, Stern chose not to submit the required personal finance disclosure, effectively ending his campaign before it ever got started. While his political career was short-lived, Stern left a lasting impression on many New Yorkers who appreciated his attempts to take a stand against the political establishment.
