As the thirty-fifth President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy served less than three years before his assassination in 1963. He came from a prestigious political family. His IQ was quite impressive. He graduated from Harvard with honors. He presented one of the most impressive inaugural addresses with a memorable quote, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” He pushed for civil rights legislation and expanded the nation’s economy through successful fiscal programs. Kennedy is also famous for the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban missile crisis and is credited with starting the Peace Corps. Under his leadership, significant events occurred around the world, including the Cold War and the building of the Berlin Wall in Germany. On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy rode in a convertible car in Dallas, Texas, and was shot and killed.
