The Most Lethal Special Forces In The World

Kampfschwimmer, Germany

During the early phase of post-World War II Germany's armed forces development, the Kampfschwimmer Company was founded. The mission and functions were narrowly defined, and NATO determined the Kampfschwimmer mission. They include special reconnaissance missions of beach and surf areas, as well as installations of military importance, which are an integral part of NATO naval operational planning. A Kampfschwimmer's skill set includes not only airborne operations and ground fighting (and other specialties), but also tactical closed-circuit diving operations. No other military unit in Germany matches this set of skills. Even among NATO nations, there are few personnel or units with such a diverse set of skills.
