In a recent interview with Fox Digital, Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman expressed his disapproval of activists advocating for a cease-fire in Gaza.

He also criticized his Democratic colleagues for their response to Iran's attacks on Israel, describing it as "crazy."

Fetterman took issue with the disruptive nature of some protests, stating, "It is not appropriate or legal or helpful to advance your argument if you show up in a Starbucks with a bullhorn and start yelling at people." He further argued that such actions do not elevate the protesters' cause, but rather, "It just makes you an a–hole."

In the wake of the conflict between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas, anti-Israel protests have erupted across the United States. Protesters have taken extreme measures to express their dissatisfaction with U.S. policy towards Israel, including trespassing in government buildings, obstructing traffic on major bridges, and invading private businesses with bullhorns to chant at employees.

While Fetterman acknowledged the right to protest and hold differing opinions, he expressed concern over demonstrations that "disrupt lives." He highlighted the potential consequences of protesters obstructing traffic on busy bridges and roads, noting that such actions could cause people to be late for work, miss important appointments, or even lose their jobs.

Despite his opposition to these disruptive forms of protest, Fetterman did not express interest in legislative measures to address them. Instead, he told Fox News Digital, "My priority is to talk about hostages," referring to those still held by Hamas in Gaza.

Fetterman has emerged as one of the most vocal Democratic supporters of Israel. He reiterated this stance in the interview, emphasizing, "We can't ever forget Hamas started this, and they have chosen to do the most terrible, awful, unspeakable things."

He argued that the Palestinian cause for statehood cannot progress until the hostages, including Americans, are released from Gaza. "They have the power to decide, today – send everyone home and surrender, and all the trauma, the death, and everything in Gaza can end. And you can get back on the path of peace and a two-state solution," he said.

Fetterman also addressed the Democratic Party's response to Israel's decision to retaliate against Iran's direct attacks. While many Democrats feared that counterattacks could ignite a regional war potentially involving the U.S., Fetterman stated, "I am not going to be in a position to tell Israel what it should do. That's their choice."

He expressed hope that the situation would not escalate into a more widespread conflict. However, he criticized fellow Democrats who did not immediately condemn Iran for its direct attacks on Israel. "I was appalled that there were members of our party – Democrats that can't even condemn Iran," he said. "That's crazy."

When asked about the growing division within the Democratic Party over support for Israel, Fetterman said he could not speak for other members. However, he reaffirmed his position as "a very confirmed and consistent voice in standing with Israel throughout all of this."
