A new poll reveals that 59 percent of Americans are "concerned" regarding President Joe Biden's mental health, as questions linger over whether the 79-year-old should run for a second term.

An I&I/TIPP poll released Monday discovered that 36 percent of respondents were "very concerned" regarding mental health, with a further 23 percent stating they were somewhat concerned.

Pollsters found that 18 percent were not very concerned, with 21 percent saying they had no concerns at all.

Another 2 percent of respondents announced they weren't sure.

Party ideology played into people's perceptions of the Democratic president.

Among Democrats, 39 percent announced they were worried about Biden's mental condition, versus 82 percent of concerned and 56 percent of independents who agreed.

Pollsters noted that while the Democratic number is smaller, 39 percent is still "statistically high."

Meanwhile, only 17 percent of Republicans and 39 percent of independents agreed.

While party preference skewed Americans' opinions, usual factors like gender, race and age mostly did not.
