This Country Is A Circus: Federal Courts Create "Safe Space" Mentorship Program For "Minority" Staff

The leftists are at it again! The federal courts are now trying to create a mentorship program for minority staff, encompassing various minorities, including gender, race, etc.

However, the program is designed to give minorities benefits that those not considered a minority don’t get.

The current safe space program is not nationwide. Fox states, “A spokesperson for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts said two of the nation’s 13 circuits have adopted the mentorship program so far, the 6th and 7th circuits, which oversee Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.”

The mentorship program classifies people according to the minority they identify with and assigns them a mentor in the same minority. Fox says, “Mentors for the program will work to build a ‘psychologically safe space for mentees,’ the memo said. Employees that identify with a minority group can apply to be assigned to a subgroup with regular virtual meetings.”

While this sounds good, it violates other people’s civil rights. Fox points out, “Three legal experts who reviewed the document say it may violate civil rights laws because it is structured to benefit exclusive groups of employees. Giancarlo Canaparo, a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation and a former federal law clerk, said the program promotes a ‘divisive left-wing ideology.’”

This is because people that do not fall into a minority category do not have mentorship programs available to them. Programs like this do not treat people equally.

Other people are also against the program. Fox News says, “Jim Copland, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, said the AIDE program shows a dangerous turn toward a divisive left-wing approach within the federal judicial system.” The left continues to claim that they promote diversity when all they do is attempt to divide Americans. As long as we fight each other, we don’t see how crooked and wrong the left’s approach is.
