Ilhan Omar's daughter, Isra Hirsi, has come under fire from journalist Megyn Kelly following her arrest and subsequent eviction from her dormitory at Columbia University's Barnard College due to her participation in anti-Israel protests.

The 21-year-old, who is a prominent figure in the progressive "Squad," was among the numerous students apprehended last week.

Kelly, in her SiriusXM podcast "The Megyn Kelly Show," expressed her lack of sympathy for Hirsi, stating, "Could you spare me? I’ve only got crocodile tears for this person." Kelly's lack of empathy stems from Hirsi's decision to become a public face of these protests.

Kelly further criticized Hirsi's portrayal of her predicament, stating, "She decides to paint her time there as like, she was basically just kicked out of the last homeless shelter in New York, with no food and no roof over her head."

Following her eviction from campus housing and ban from the dining hall, Hirsi spoke to MSNBC and Teen Vogue. She expressed her distress, saying to Teen Vogue, "I was a little bit frantic, like, where am I going to sleep? Where am I gonna go? And also all of my s**t is thrown in a random lot. It’s pretty horrible."

She also revealed her attempts to secure meals, stating, "I sent them an email like, ‘Hey, I rely on campus for my meals, I rely on my dining plan,’ and they were like, ‘Oh, you can come pick up a prepackaged bag of food, a full 48 hours after I was suspended’." She added, "There was no food support, no nothing."

Meanwhile, Ilhan Omar, the congresswoman from Minnesota, expressed her pride in her daughter's actions. She stated, "She has always led with courage and compassion, from organizing a statewide school walk out on the 20th anniversary of Columbine at the age of 15, to leading the biggest youth climate rally at our nation’s Capitol at 16, and now pushing her school to stand against genocide."
