Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, and Twitter, is not a Christian in the strictest sense of the word.

But recently, Musk has started to veer toward a greater appreciation of the teachings of Jesus Christ. He had won new friends in the faith community, especially those who believed they had been locked out of Twitter when it was under the previous management.

The Western Journal explains.

“When Elon Musk bought Twitter, he enraged leftists by breaking their monopoly over the discourse on social media platforms.

“On Thursday, the billionaire provided another reason for enraged leftists to hate him — and he did so by sharing an uplifting insight.

“In a response to a tweet from the increasingly unhinged Kanye West, Musk dared to make a positive personal comment about Jesus and his teachings.”

The artist formerly known as Kanye West has caused considerable outrage and concern with his wild, antisemitic rants in recent weeks. He even appeared on the Alex Jones podcast, along with notorious white nationalist and neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, and offered praise for Adolf Hitler, widely considered the evilest man who ever lived.

Musk recently reinstated West’s Twitter account before removing it again due to the rapper’s Nazi rants. West tweeted, “I love the first amendment! Long live Ye! I pray to Jesus that Elon is for real…”

Musk responded by tweeting, “Jesus taught love, kindness and forgiveness. I used to think that turning the other cheek was weak and foolish, but I was the fool for not appreciating its profound wisdom.”

Even though Musk has been educated in an Anglican Sunday school and a Hebrew preschool, though he is not Jewish, he has previously described himself as either an atheist or agnostic. However, Musk’s spiritual beliefs have evolved.

He stated, “There’s great wisdom in the teachings of Jesus, and I agree with those teachings. Things like ‘turn the other cheek’ are very important, as opposed to ‘an eye for an eye.’ An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.” The last sentence is a quote from Gandhi.

The Christian Post noted that Twitter censored Bible verses two years ago, claiming that the tweet contained “sensitive content.” The social media platform also censored worship videos and religious music. Now that the CEO of Twitter is at least in sympathy with Christ’s teachings, one expects that policy will change.
