President Joe Biden fell off his bike early Saturday morning while greeting a crowd during a morning ride in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and he did so while stopped and had one foot on the pavement. The visual itself is being ridiculed on social media as an example of how Biden is running, or ruining the country.

Secret Service agents ran to help him up after he fell to the ground at around 9:40 a.m., with the group offering scattered cheers as he stood back up.

“I’m good,” he confirmed to onlookers.

Biden fell while attempting to get his shoes out of the pedal, he said. He wasn't injured, according to the White House.

“As the president said, his foot got caught on the pedal while dismounting, and he is fine. No medical attention is needed,” a spokesperson said. “The president looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family.”

Biden fielded a few questions from reporters before riding away, ensuring he plans to speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping “soon” and is weighing whether to lift Chinese tariffs.

The drop may be the latest political fodder used by Biden's critics against the 79-year-old President, whose age and mental acuity have been at the center of debate about whether the incumbent is physically qualified for office. Biden is the oldest President ever to hold office and would be 82 if elected to a second term in 2024.

Former Obama adviser David Axelrod raised a "major" red flag regarding Biden's aims to run for reelection in 2024, pointing to the commander in chief's old age.

His comments emerged in a New York Times report Saturday that examined "whispers" among Democrats who are increasingly anxious about Biden's leadership ahead of the 2022 midterm elections in which Republicans are widely expected to win back control of at least one chamber of Congress.

Biden, who is 79, is the oldest man ever to be President. In fact, Biden was older when he took the oath of office than was Ronald Reagan, the second-oldest sitting President ever, when he retired at 77. Biden would be 82 for a second inauguration.

“The presidency is a monstrously taxing job, and the stark reality is the president would be closer to 90 than 80 at the end of a second term, and that would be a major issue,” Axelrod said.

Biden said in December that he would run for reelection if he is in good health.

"I'm a great respecter of fate. Fate has intervened in my life many, many times. If I'm in the health I'm in now, if I'm in good health, then, in fact, I would run again," the President said at the time.
