"Senators should be aware that the Senate will, in fact, consider the Build Back Better Act, very early in the new year so that every Member of this body has the opportunity to make their position known on the Senate floor, not just on television," the Senate majority leader wrote in a letter to colleagues on Monday.
"We are going to vote on a revised version of the House-passed Build Back Better Act – and we will keep voting on it until we get something done," Schumer maintained.

The New York Democrat added of the legislation: "We were elected to address these many needs and we will not stop fighting until we do."
Manchin, a centrist Democrat from West Virginia, explained to Fox News on Sunday that he will not vote in favor of BBB, a blow to Biden in an evenly split Senate where every Democrat vote is required to pass his ambitious agenda.
Schumer was honest with his "deep discontent and frustration" with Manchin.
Last week, the Democratic leader declared he was pushing a vote on BBB until after the New Year to grant Manchin more time to negotiate with President Joe Biden and come to an area where he was comfortable voting for the $1.75 trillion measure.

Manchin, only a few days later, announced Sunday he is a "no" on BBB, causing Progressives to call for a vote anyway, so he had to vote on record against the bill.

"[N]early all of us were disappointed by the decision to delay floor consideration of the Build Back Better Act because Senator Manchin could not come to an agreement with the president," Schumer wrote in his Monday letter. "However, neither that delay, nor other recent pronouncements, will deter us from continuing to try to find a way forward."

On Sunday, members of the Democratic Party pressed Schumer to hold a vote on BBB with Senator Bernie Sanders declaring it would force Manchin to "vote no in front of the whole world."
