Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis intends to denounce President Joe Biden over vaccine mandates by signing the state's anti-mandate legislation in the city of Brandon, a name that has come to express objection to the president.

Biden critics have used the phrase "Let's go Brandon" to show their disapproval of the president. The chant is a euphemism for "F*** Joe Biden" and originated from an NBC reporter who misheard the expletive-laden chant during an on-air NASCAR interview with driver Brandon Brown.

"You can hear the chants from the crowd, 'Let's go, Brandon!'" reporter Kelli Stavast said during the Oct. 2 interview.

DeSantis will arrive in Brandon to sign into law a bill passed by the Florida Legislature Wednesday that prevents businesses from imposing vaccine mandates without an array of exemptions.

DeSantis has been a strong contender of COVID-related mandates, including mask mandates in schools. DeSantis has promoted COVID treatments, setting up 25 monoclonal antibody therapy sites throughout the state, although about half have shut down due to decreasing infection rates.

DeSantis was denounced over the summer for battling mask and vaccine mandates amid a COVID surge in the state. Still, the number of cases, hospitalizations, and losses have since dropped significantly.

He's a vocal Biden critic on other issues, including immigration, and deemed a prospective presidential candidate for 2024.

"Let's go, Brandon" hit the streets with the three-word chant finding its way onto two massive Northern Virginia electronic road signs in Falls Church, a report said.

"I don't think it's particularly helpful to the discourse right now," a resident whose home is about 100 yards from the signs told WTTG-TV.

Falls Church officials got several calls from Virginians on their morning commutes, saying the signs resulted from foul play.

"We were made aware this morning that someone had broken into the control cabinets on the electronic signs and changed the messaging," said a spokesperson for developer Mill Creek Residential. "The signs were immediately corrected, and the cabinet locks have been fixed to prevent future incidents."

The controversial expression arose from a Florida NASCAR race when a journalist misreported the chant "F*** Joe Biden " as praise toward driver Brandon Brown.

"I have a pretty decent sense of humor," the resident said. "But it is a new dangerous intersection, and 'Let's go, Brandon' is really a, you know, euphemism or something for a pretty obscene chant against the president."
