Tucker Carlson has dubbed the media "defenders of the powerful" with a penchant for lying to get the job done.

The Fox News host, who made the comments during an interview on the Rubin Report that aired over the weekend, warned that the same journalism crowd tends to demonize the "weakest people in our society" — which is something he despises.

"You can have silly politics, I get it," he went on to say. "I've had silly politics, maybe I do now. People make mistakes. But defending the billionaire class? Blaming everything on like, working-class white people who are like, by far, the most shafted people in America? Look at the suicide rate, look at the death rate. I mean, it's measurable, but everything's their fault? It's insane."

David Rubin asked Carlson how he thinks members of the media can live with themselves when they "lie again and again," citing some CNN personalities. Carlson replied by acknowledging that he himself occasionally lies, although he insisted he attempts to refrain from doing so while on the air like other journalists do every day.

"So if these people ask themselves why am I doing this? And they say, 'Well, I want to protect the system because I really believe in the system.' OK, who’s running the system? You’re lying to defend Jeff Bezos? Like, you’re treating Bill Gates like some sort of moral leader, like, are you kidding me? How dare you do that?" he declared.

Carlson also said he wondered if people in the media industry are using their platform to attack weak people by putting pictures on a screen to hurt them. He admitted he has done that in the past but now has a basic rule on his top-rated show.

"Punch up!" Carlson said. "Like, that's just like a life rule. And people who punch down are the worst. They should have no power whatsoever, in my opinion."

Wojcicki is quoted saying: “ But then we also talk about removing information that is problematic, of course, anything that is medically unsubstantiated to people saying like take vitamin C, you know, take turmeric, like those oral will cure you. Those are examples of things that would be a violation of our policy. Anything that would go against World Health Organization recommendations would be a violation of our policy. And so removing is another really important part of our policy. “

CNN’s BRIAN commented: “ So you're not just putting in the truth next to the lie, you're taking the lie down. That's a pretty aggressive approach.”
