President Trump called a hotel room meeting of Pennsylvania Republicans on Wednesday to blow steam about the elections, making allegations of fraud and commanding the result to be flipped.

Campaign attorney Jenna Ellis held up her phone to a microphone so that the president, who was in the Oval Office, could make his remarks to aides gathered at a Wyndham in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

“This was an election we won easily. We won it by a lot,” he said.

Trump has been staying isolated since Election Day, not making many appearances. He has appeared only shortly in public, taking part in the annual Thanksgiving pardoning of a turkey on Tuesday, while his administration officials have started helping Biden’s team transition into power.

Meanwhile, Biden gave a Thanksgiving eve speech, calling for unity and prompting people to “steal our spines” to fight the coronavirus.

"Each of us has a responsibility in our own lives to do what we can to slow the virus," he said from Wilmington, Delaware.

On Wednesday, there were ideas for Trump to escort his lawyer Rudy Giuliani to the Gettysburg hotel for a Republican hearing about alleged voter fraud.

It would have sealed his first trip outside the Washington, D.C., area since Election Day.

However, it was dropped just as members of the traveling press pool were planning to leave. Instead, he called the meeting by phone.

“This election was rigged, and we can’t let that happen,” he said. “We can’t let that happen for our country. And this election has to be turned around.”

His claim, seeking to bar states from verifying the results, has faced a thread of criticism. Judges have scolded campaign attorneys for not acting in good faith, failing to provide evidence, and for being inadequately ready.

Trump’s campaign headquarters, which kept up with plenty of press releases, discussion calls, and statements in the direct outcome of the election, has dropped quietly.

“We won Pennsylvania by a lot,” he said. “We won all of these swing states by a lot.”

He maintained Republican poll observers were treated “like dogs” and removed to hedges 100 feet away from voting. He described allegations of dead people using mail-in ballots in testimonies piled “to the ceiling.”

"All we need is for some judge to listen to it properly, without having a political opinion," he said, before addressing his splintering legal team. "I want to thank Rudy Giuliani for having the courage to do this."

He continued: "There were other lawyers that backed down because they were being screamed at. This is going to be your crowning achievement because you are saving our country."
