College Football Coaches ‘Overwhelmingly’ Want The Playoff To Expand

The majority of college football coaches apparently are down with the playoff adding more teams.

According to 247Sports, AFCA executive director Todd Berry said coaches “overwhelmingly support” playoff expansion during a talk at the AFCA Virtual Convention earlier in the week.

Berry didn’t specify which programs and coaches support the move, but did add, “We didn’t get into the detail other than the fact that currently we feel like for both opportunity and for fairness across the board.”

As I’ve said many times before, the playoff is going to expand. It’s going to happen. It’s not a matter of if. It’s a matter of when.
