As the 2020 presidential election draws near, Sleepy Joe Biden wasn’t so sleepy at 3AM, doing everything in his diminished mental state to seize on the momentum and the lead he has in order to win in November. To this End, Biden has declared, as his boss Obama did 12 years ago, that he would transform America.
The day after news of Kanye West’s entrance to the presidential race, former US vice president Joe Biden has publicly stated that he would beat Donald Trump and transform the country.
Overnight, Biden shared a tweet that read, "We're going to beat Donald Trump. And when we do, we won't just rebuild this nation — we'll transform it."
His statement soon met with criticism as Twitter users used the opportunity to ask Biden what has he done for America in all these years. While one user bluntly said, "You've had 40 years or more joe give it a rest…"
Another noted that he’s only trying to rebuild something he has "broken". "51 years in office. 51. If anything is 'broken' about our system, @JoeBiden definitely had a hand in it. To think he is coming from the outside to fix the system he created over 5 decades is truly delusional," read the tweet. "Joe — you've been in DC for over 40 years... and NOW... NOW... you're going to do something?" wrote another adding to the previous tweet.
Meanwhile, a few of the users have called Biden out saying he doesn’t even write his own tweet, let alone work towards re-building or transforming the country.
Responding to his tweet one wrote, "To what? Exactly what? You don’t even write your own tweets." Another added, "That was a good one Joe’s twitter writer! @realDonaldTrump has built the best economy in history. He’s already rebuilding during a pandemic! I’ll take President Trump over you 365 days a year! Please stay in the basement where it’s safe! Have a pudding cup!"
And a few have pointed that out that he always tends to be “irrational” with regard to Trump and shouldn’t be trusted with the future of the nation. One wrote, "Into a socialist country. You need to just focus on your battle with dementia. Isn't this elderly abuse? Why isn't anyone concerned for him? His wife? Why won't anyone speak up?.”
Another seconded by tweeting, “@joebiden are you always this irrational or act so when it comes to the orange man? Lol."
Biden’s tweet did not specify what exactly he means by transforming the country. His critics from the left have expressed concern that he served in the upper echelon of government for over 40 years and didn't help solve these major issues in the past.
His critics from the right insist that a Biden White House will take marching orders from the Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wing of the party. Some conservatives say his vice president pick will be an early indicator of his administration's direction.
His campaign sent a link to his website when reached by Fox News for comment about the tweet. The tweet appeared to be embraced by supporters and was liked 140,000 times as of early Monday.
