According to RedState, the NFL has tapped Bad Bunny and Green Day for major performance slots, a choice that many Americans see as yet another nod to progressive politics rather than a unifying celebration. Bad Bunny is “openly political and frequently bashes the Trump administration and ICE,” while Green Day remains one of the most “TDS-riddled” bands in popular music, hardly the kind of entertainment likely to bridge the nation’s deep political divides.

Yet one Super Bowl tradition still commands near-universal attention: the commercials, where corporations and advocacy groups alike spend millions of dollars for mere seconds of airtime to push their messages before one of the largest audiences in the world.
