The left’s latest attempt to smear Donald Trump now features a fading celebrity DJ diagnosing the former president with dementia from behind a smartphone camera.

According to the Gateway Pundit, the musician known as Moby posted a video to social media in which he claimed that Trump is “clearly battling frontotemporal dementia,” while simultaneously insisting that “Trump is not America.”

The irony is hard to miss, given that Moby is an outspoken supporter of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, even as Biden’s own public appearances routinely raise questions about his mental acuity.

Yet instead of addressing the obvious concerns surrounding the current president, Moby chose to recycle the left’s favorite projection tactic: accuse Trump of precisely what many voters see in Biden.

Breitbart News reports that the “far-left DJ star” used his video to launch a broadside against Trump, alleging that the former president is “battling” mental health issues and branding him a “narcissist.”

He also offered an apology “to everyone in the rest of the world,” as if Hollywood-aligned entertainers speak for the American people, and as if foreign approval should dictate U.S. elections.

“To everyone in the rest of the world, just a reminder, Trump is not America,” Moby exclaimed. The DJ then repeated a familiar but false talking point popular in entertainment circles, claiming, “His approval rating is as low as it’s ever been,” despite polling that shows Trump’s standing compares favorably with Barack Obama’s and George W. Bush’s at the same point in their second terms.

“So, he’s a mess, but he’s not America,” Moby said. “And like most of you, we’re just waiting for his presidency to end.” That posture neatly captures the mindset of the cultural left, which has never accepted Trump’s legitimacy and continues to confuse its own echo chamber with the broader electorate that has repeatedly defied elite expectations.

Moby’s hostility toward Trump is not new; it is part of a years-long pattern of increasingly unhinged political stunts.

In June 2018, for example, he released a music video depicting President Trump as a Nazi robot who is blown up by a band of rebellious citizens, a cartoonish smear that trivializes real historical evil while demonizing tens of millions of Trump voters.

His political activism also extends to the Biden family’s inner circle.

As many will recall, Moby interviewed Hunter Biden in 2023, giving the president’s scandal-plagued son a sympathetic platform at a time when congressional Republicans were intensifying their investigations.

Politico reported at the time that Hunter Biden used the conversation to frame GOP scrutiny as an attack on his father’s presidency rather than a response to his own conduct. Republican attacks aimed at Hunter Biden are “not about me,” the President’s son said in an interview published Friday, but are actually intended to “destroy a presidency” by taking painful, personal aim at the first family…

The interview coincided with serious legal trouble for Hunter Biden, who had just been indicted by a federal grand jury in California on nine charges, including three felonies. The indictment accused him of failing to pay taxes, understating income, and inflating expenses between 2016 and 2019, alleging that he shirked his obligations while spending heavily on “drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing and other items of a personal nature.”

In his most extensive public comments in years, Hunter Biden sat down for a two-part interview with Moby, recorded at his San Francisco studio, though the precise date was not disclosed.

Biden and Moby share a history of addiction recovery, and the musician has attended Biden’s art shows, underscoring the cozy relationship between the Biden orbit and the entertainment figures now lecturing Americans about Trump’s fitness for office.

Against that backdrop, Moby’s armchair diagnosis of Trump looks less like concern for the country and more like partisan theater from a Biden loyalist whose own side is mired in ethical and cognitive questions. When Biden defenders and Hollywood activists insist there is “something wrong” with Trump while ignoring the glaring problems in their own camp, many Americans respond the only way they can: by shaking their heads and laughing at how out of touch the left has become.
