President Donald Trump has issued a directive to overturn the green energy regulations on household appliances implemented during the Biden administration.

This move aims to reinstate the environmental policies from his first term, which he argues are more practical and cost-effective.

The Biden administration had introduced stricter climate standards for household appliances, including gas stoves, washing machines, and dishwashers. These regulations have been criticized by energy experts and manufacturers, who caution that they could result in more expensive and less efficient alternatives.

In a Truth Social post, Trump urged the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), under the leadership of former Representative Lee Zeldin, to "immediately undo Biden's climate mandates and return to 'common sense standards.'"

According to Fox News, Trump expressed his intentions clearly, stating, "I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe." He further added, "I look forward to signing these Orders. THANK YOU!!!"

The Republican majority in both the House and Senate is also taking legislative steps to counteract Biden's green energy policies. Representative Stephanie Bice of Oklahoma has introduced a joint resolution of disapproval targeting the Biden administration's standards for coolers and freezers, which were slated to take effect in February. This development was initially reported by Fox News Digital. In a similar vein, Representative Gary Palmer of Alabama has put forth a resolution to block Biden's proposed ban on water heaters.

Earlier this year, the House passed the "Liberty in Laundry Act," a measure designed to prevent the Energy Secretary and the Department of Energy from enforcing new or revised energy efficiency standards for clothes washers that are deemed technologically unfeasible and economically unjustified. This legislative activity underscores a broader conservative effort to prioritize individual freedom and market-driven solutions over government-imposed mandates.
