The Hamas terrorist organization has outrightly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's ultimatum to release all remaining Israeli and American hostages from Gaza by noon on Saturday, or risk the termination of the ceasefire agreement, allowing Israel to retaliate as it sees fit.

According to Breitbart, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri emphasized that the hostages would only be released if all parties adhered to the ceasefire deal established last month. "Trump must remember there is an agreement that must be respected by both parties," he stated, warning that aggressive rhetoric only serves to complicate the situation further.

Hamas has also threatened to postpone the release of three Israeli hostages scheduled for Saturday, accusing Israel of breaching the ceasefire terms by restricting the entry of tents and shelters into the war-torn region.

Breitbart News highlighted Trump's stance that the ceasefire should be annulled if Hamas fails to release all hostages by the specified deadline, although he acknowledged that the final decision rests with Israel.

The existing agreement outlines a phased release of hostages by Hamas in exchange for the liberation of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. Presently, there are 73 hostages in Gaza, with 17 initially set for release in the first phase. Regrettably, not all hostages are alive, and many were expected to remain captive until a "second phase" of the agreement could be implemented. This ongoing crisis underscores the complexities of international negotiations and the challenges of maintaining peace in a volatile region.
