President Trump's response to the recent actions of Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) and her Democratic colleagues was characteristically forthright.

The incident in question involved an attempt by Waters and others to force their way into the Department of Education building, a move that has been widely criticized as a mere publicity stunt.

According to Gateway Pundit, this demonstration followed the Trump administration's announcement of a draft executive order aimed at dismantling the Department of Education, a key promise from Trump's campaign. When the Democrats were denied entry, tensions escalated, with some participants resorting to aggressive tactics against the security personnel. The situation became particularly charged when comparisons were drawn between the security officers and segregationists from the Jim Crow era. Waters herself questioned the guards about their willingness to use firearms. Federal officers eventually intervened to maintain order.

In a conversation with Fox News's Peter Doocy, President Trump offered his perspective on the incident, taking the opportunity to critique both Waters and the current state of the American education system. "I see Maxine Waters, a low-life, I see all these people, they don’t love our Country," Trump remarked. He went on to highlight a troubling statistic: "So they rank 40 countries in education. We’re ranked DEAD LAST." This statement underscores a broader concern about the effectiveness of government spending in education.

Trump elaborated on the inefficiencies within the K-12 education system, noting that the United States leads the world in per-pupil spending, yet lags in educational outcomes. "The ‘good news’ is we’re number one in one category: cost per pupil. We spend more per pupil than any other country in the world," he stated, drawing comparisons with nations like Norway and Denmark, which achieve better results with less expenditure.

The President proposed practical solutions, advocating for increased school choice and a return to state-level control over education. "In Biden’s last year, we’re ranked dead last. So what I would like to see is (school) choice, but beyond choice, I want to see it go back to the States," Trump explained. He expressed confidence that states with sound financial management could rival the educational success of top-ranking countries. "There will be 35 to 38 states ranked right at the top," he predicted, emphasizing the potential for improvement through localized governance and competition.
