For the past eight months, astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have remained on the International Space Station (ISS), despite their mission initially being scheduled for just one week. As reported by The Post Millennial, the duo arrived at the ISS aboard a Boeing Starliner. However, the spacecraft encountered technical issues, including helium leaks and thruster malfunctions, rendering it unsafe for a return journey. A rescue plan involving a SpaceX capsule was in place, with the expectation of a February return. This capsule was also intended to bring replacement astronauts, but the mission faced delays.
