In a recent episode of his show, Jon Stewart took aim at Dr. Phil McGraw, following an unusual encounter during an immigration raid in Chicago.

Dr. Phil, known for his television persona as a celebrity psychologist, accompanied Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on a targeted operation. The incident unfolded when a deportee, identified as Sam from Thailand, recognized Dr. Phil, prompting a peculiar exchange.

As reported by Mediaite, Stewart humorously criticized McGraw's apparent surprise at being recognized. During the interaction, McGraw asked, "How do you know me?" to which Sam responded that he had seen Dr. Phil's show on television. Stewart, in his characteristic comedic style, reenacted the scene with a mock southern accent, mimicking McGraw's voice and mannerisms. Stewart quipped, "Yeah. ‘How do you know me?’ You’ve been in one thing. ‘How do you know I’m Dr. Phil?’ ‘Because you’re on the Dr. Phil Show! You’re Dr. Phil!’ ‘How do you know me?’ ‘Weren’t you in Goodfellas?’ No! You’re Dr. Phil! I know that little egghead anywhere. Bald mustache, Southern drawl…”

Stewart further referenced a notorious guest from Dr. Phil's show, Danielle Bregoli, who became famous for her combative demeanor and the viral phrase "cash me outside." Stewart jested, "Look at that picture! I guess. Dr. Phil, finally, cashed someone outside. How about that? Let me just finish. We’re almost done…”

The comedian also turned his attention to President Donald Trump's recent proposal regarding Palestinian refugees. Trump suggested that neighboring Arab nations should accommodate these individuals, a plan Stewart found audacious. He humorously imagined Dr. Phil being dispatched to Gaza amidst the displacement of residents, saying, "[Trump’s] so emboldened he wants to start deporting people from other people’s countries. You know, Dr. Phil will be down in Gaza. ‘How do you know me? What? How do you know me sir?’” Stewart continued the jest with a fictional Palestinian's response: “‘Habibi, I don’t have a television. I don’t know. I don’t know how, habibi.’”

This satirical segment highlights Stewart's knack for blending humor with current events, offering a conservative critique of celebrity involvement in serious matters such as immigration enforcement. It also underscores the broader implications of Trump's foreign policy proposals, which often provoke debate and scrutiny.
