Vice President JD Vance recently delivered his inaugural public address since assuming office, speaking at the annual March for Life event.

His remarks focused on revitalizing a family-centric culture in America, drawing attention to what he described as a prevailing "culture of radical individualism." Vance expressed a desire to "see more babies in the United States of America," a sentiment that resonated with the thousands of pro-life advocates gathered in Washington, DC.

As reported by The Post Millennial, Vance began his speech by addressing the pro-life marchers, stating, "We march to protect the unborn. We march to proclaim and live out the sacred truth that God has given us. We march to every single child is a miracle and a gift from God." He criticized the current cultural climate in the United States, suggesting that it often portrays children as burdens rather than blessings. Vance argued that the nation has "failed a generation not only by permitting a culture of abortion on demand, but also by neglecting to help young parents achieve the ingredients they need to live a happy and meaningful life." He lamented the rise of a culture where family responsibilities are viewed as obstacles rather than sources of personal fulfillment.

Vance further elaborated on the societal obligations between generations, emphasizing the need for a cultural shift. "Our society has failed to recognize, the obligation that one generation has to another is a core part of living in a society to begin with. So let me say very simply, I want more babies in the United States of America. I want more happy children in our country. And I want beautiful young men and women who are eager to welcome them into the world and eager to raise them," he declared.

Drawing from his own experiences of growing up in a broken home, which he detailed in his book "Hillbilly Elegy," Vance underscored the importance of making it easier for families to thrive. He advocated for policies that support family life and economic stability, highlighting the Trump administration's efforts in this regard. Vance praised the administration for being the most pro-family and pro-life in the nation's history, citing the child tax credit policy and the overturning of Roe vs. Wade as significant achievements.

In his concluding remarks, Vance articulated his vision for the nation's cultural landscape: "We need a culture that celebrates life at all stages. One that recognizes and truly believes that the benchmark of national success is not our GDP number or our stock market, but whether people feel that they can raise thriving and healthy families in our country." His comments reflect a conservative perspective that prioritizes traditional family values and seeks to foster an environment where families can flourish.
