The manifesto, reportedly 47 pages long, also contained disturbing racial and anti-Semitic sentiments. Early on, Henderson expressed his shame at being black and included a flyer from the Goyim Defense League, a known Neo-Nazi group. The manifesto also revealed that Henderson was influenced by Nick Fuentes and conservative commentator Candace Owens. "Candace Owens has influenced me above all each time she spoke I was stunned by her insights and her own views helped push me further and further into the belief of violence over the Jewish question," he wrote, as reported by the Nashville Banner.

The shooting was partially livestreamed by Henderson, prompting swift action from the streaming platform, Kick. "On January 22, an attack occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, and was partially livestreamed. We extend our thoughts to everyone impacted by this event. KICK rapidly banned the account and removed the video. Violence has no place on KICK. We are actively working with law enforcement and taking all appropriate steps to support their investigation," the platform stated.

Henderson's manifesto also contained a scathing critique of the education system. "School is a daycare. It's just impossible for you to actually think. You say things because other people have said it before then go repeat ad nauseum somewhere else. In school, we're taught to wake up early, shut up, sit for long periods of hours do tasks you hate then repeat," he wrote. His disdain for his school was apparent, with News Channel 5 reporting that he expressed racial animosity towards the majority Hispanic and black student body.

The deadly incident unfolded just after 11 am when Henderson entered the school cafeteria armed with a pistol. After fatally shooting Corea Escalante and grazing another student, he reportedly shot himself. Another student was injured in the ensuing chaos. MNPD Chief John Drake stated in a press conference that authorities are investigating possible motives and examining online materials linked to Henderson.
