According to RedState, the ceremony was initially planned to be held outdoors, a customary practice. However, due to inclement weather, including frigid temperatures, Trump announced on Friday that the 60th inauguration in American history would be relocated to the Capitol Rotunda. "I have ordered the Inauguration Address, in addition to prayers and other speeches, to be delivered in the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was used by Ronald Reagan in 1985, also because of very cold weather," Trump stated on his social media platform, Truth Social. "The various Dignitaries and Guests will be brought into the Capitol."
Despite some Democrats expressing their intention to boycott the ceremony in protest of Trump's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) confirmed his attendance. True to his usual style, the first-term senator arrived on one of the coldest days of the season wearing a Carhartt hoodie and shorts, his typical attire. "HE CAN TAKE THE COLD!" remarked @brianglenntv upon encountering Sen. Fetterman in his unconventional outfit on Inauguration Day.

Fetterman had also met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago shortly before the inauguration, humorously expressing his desire to be appointed "Pope of Greenland" should any agreement between them and the United States materialize. When asked about his expectations from the visit, Fetterman quipped, "I demand that I need to be made Pope of Greenland."

While some may question whether Fetterman should have dressed more formally for the occasion, it is unlikely that Trump will be concerned. His focus remains on addressing the challenges posed by the previous administration and beginning his second term with a commitment to reversing the policies of Joe Biden.
