In an opinion editorial published by The Blaze, author Andy Biggs expressed his concern over the current state of U.S. border security, accusing the Biden administration of selling off bollard fencing material at a fraction of its cost and value.

Biggs stated, "Joe Biden is selling off the bollard fencing material that has been sitting in storage locations along the border since he halted border fence construction nearly four years ago."

Biggs also criticized the administration for its alleged leniency towards illegal immigration, stating, "The left is content with the nearly seven million illegal aliens paroled into America under Joe Biden." He further pointed out the situation in San Diego County, California, which he referred to as a "super sanctuary city," where he claimed violent criminals are being released into the community.

In his piece, Biggs quoted Supervisor Jim Desmond, the only member of the board he considers rational, who explained, "Under this policy, law enforcement is prohibited from notifying ICE about individuals in custody, who have committed violent and heinous crimes, including rape and stalking, assault and battery, burglary, child abuse, and more."

Biggs also highlighted the increasing cartel activity along the border and the rising costs of illegal border crossings. He wrote, "My border sources also tell me that because the deadline is looming just about a month away, prices charged by the cartels that control our southern border are soaring."

The author further criticized Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs for her opposition to President Trump's proposed mass deportations, despite Trump's victory in Arizona based on his border security proposal. He also mentioned Tucson's mayor and Denver Mayor Mike Johnston as part of the group opposing Trump's immigration policies.

Biggs concluded his piece by stating that most Americans want a solution to the border security problem, while the "elite authoritarians on the left" prefer to continue with the "disastrous Biden-era policies." He ended with a call to action, stating, "We need to make America sane again."
