Mark Cuban, a prominent surrogate for Kamala Harris, sparked a heated debate during his appearance on The View last Thursday.

His assertion that no "strong, intelligent women" support Donald Trump for president has ignited a firestorm of criticism, particularly from conservatives. The comments, which were made during a discussion about Nikki Haley, quickly spread across social media platforms, drawing a swift backlash. President Trump himself joined the fray, labeling Cuban as "a really dumb guy."

According to The Post Millennial, President Trump responded to Cuban's remarks in a post on X, stating, "Mark Cuban, a really dumb guy, who thinks he’s 'hot stuff' but he’s absolutely nothing, is now out there saying that I don’t surround myself with strong women. Actually, he is very wrong, I surround myself with the strongest of women - With the understanding that ALL women are great, whether strong or not strong." Trump went on to describe Cuban as a "fool" and a "MAJOR LOSER," suggesting that he should focus on supporting Kamala Harris, whom he was "forced to support."

Trump further emphasized his respect for women, stating, "I may, in fact, be surrounded by the strongest women in the World, including Heads of Countries, who make Mark look like a 'baby!' All strong women, and women in general, should be very angry about this weak man’s statement."

Cuban had earlier stated, "Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They're intimidating to him. He doesn't like to be challenged by them."

Karoline Leavitt, Trump campaign national press secretary, also responded to Cuban's comments, saying, "Joe Biden called Trump supporters garbage, and now Kamala’s top surrogate Mark Cuban insinuated female Trump supporters are ‘weak and dumb.'" She added, "This is extremely insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump, and the tens of millions of women who are voting for him. These women are mothers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, and they are, indeed, strong and intelligent, despite what Mark Cuban and Kamala Harris say."

The controversy underscores a significant gender gap between the two campaigns. While men have shown strong support for Trump, women have been polling heavily for Harris. Harris's campaign has been grappling with the challenge of winning over male voters, with surrogates like New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, her husband Doug Emhoff, and running mate Tim Walz working to sway this demographic.

Cuban's comments have not gone unchallenged, with many conservative women voicing their opposition. This incident serves as a reminder of the critical role women play in the political landscape, and the importance of respecting their diverse political views and choices.
