In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through the Jewish community, a man was shot on his way to synagogue in Chicago by an attacker who reportedly yelled "Allahu Akbar."

The assailant is believed to be an illegal immigrant, raising further concerns amid the ongoing border crisis under the Biden-Harris administration.

According to The Post Millennial, the 39-year-old Jewish man was targeted by a 22-year-old armed suspect on North Washtenaw Avenue, a neighborhood known for its Orthodox Jewish families. The chilling moment, caught on security cameras, showed the gunman screaming "Allahu Akbar" before engaging in a firefight with the police.

The suspect, later identified as Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, has been slapped with 14 felony charges, including six counts of first-degree attempted murder. Karol Markowicz, a journalist with the New York Post, disclosed that Abdallahi is an illegal immigrant from northwest Africa who crossed the border approximately 18 months ago.

The Jerusalem Post reported that the Chicago police detailed the incident, stating that the suspect had approached the Jewish man from behind and fired multiple shots, hitting him in the shoulder. Kevin Bruno, the Chief of the Chicago Police Department, recounted the harrowing scene, "Responding officers responded to the scene, and as they were on the scene, at about 9:55[am], the offender reemerged from an alley and fired shots at the officers and at the responding paramedics," he said, adding that the assailant also fired at an ambulance.

"Over the next two-and-a-half minutes, the offender emerged from various locations and exchanged shots with the officers," Bruno further explained.

Silverstein added, "I spoke with Superintendent Larry Snelling, who assured me that there is no more known threat and has committed the full support of the Chicago Police Department to ensuring the safety of our community." This incident underscores the pressing need for effective border control and immigration policies, a matter of significant concern for conservatives who advocate for limited government and individual freedom.
