In a recent episode of CNN's Sunday morning show, State of the Union, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance left host Jake Tapper speechless.

The senator's responses to Tapper's questions, many of which were seemingly unrelated to the 2024 election campaign, demonstrated the astuteness that earned him the vice presidential nomination from former President Donald Trump.

According to The Post Millennial, Vance did not shy away from challenging Tapper's attempts to disseminate misinformation and falsehoods about Trump, including the debunked Russia collusion narrative. Vance questioned the network's integrity, stating, “Ask yourself a basic question about network integrity. You guys talked about the Russia hoax nonstop.” Tapper defended the network's coverage, arguing, “The FBI was investigating it and so we covered it.” Vance retorted, “So, you took the words of unnamed FBI agents and put them on the network as if they were the gospel… a viewer of your network would have believed Trump and Putin would have conspired in 2016. That was totally and preposterously false… you covered it in a way that gave credence to anonymous sources and accusations. You did it yourself. Your network did it.”

Vance also addressed claims made by retired Gen. John Kelly, who suggested that Trump “falls into the general definition” of a fascist. The senator dismissed these remarks as politically motivated, pointing out that Kelly was in communication with Vice President Harris’ campaign. He suggested that Kelly's comments were part of a broader strategy to secure Harris' election.
