In a recent interview with podcast host Joe Rogan, former President Donald Trump revealed that his collaboration with ex-independent presidential candidate Robert F.

Kennedy Jr. was met with disapproval from pharmaceutical industry executives.

Trump's disclosure came during a discussion about the suspension of Kennedy's campaign and his endorsement of Trump, which marked a significant shift in the political landscape.

According to the Daily Caller, Kennedy, who had initially launched an independent bid for presidency, announced the suspension of his campaign on August 23, following a series of disagreements with the Democratic party. These disagreements revolved around issues such as censorship, the conflict in Ukraine, illegal immigration, and the party's primary rules that favored President Joe Biden. When Rogan inquired if Trump had faced any opposition to his alliance with Kennedy, the former president admitted to experiencing resistance from pharmaceutical executives.

Trump stated, “I would say that — and you know, I think in many ways they’ve done a good job and in many ways they’ve done a bad job — but I would say that Big Pharma wasn’t thrilled when they heard that.” He further added, “I’ve actually always gotten along very well with him [Kennedy], I’ve known him a long time.”

Kennedy, who was banned from Instagram in February 2021 due to his stance on vaccines, has been a vocal critic of the pharmaceutical industry. His views on the COVID-19 vaccines were edited out of an ABC News interview, further highlighting the contentious nature of his opinions. Despite the controversy, Kennedy has expressed his support for Trump, stating in an August interview with Fox News host Shannon Bream that Trump would “make America healthy again.”

Trump, in his conversation with Rogan, praised Kennedy's sincerity and intelligence. He said, “He’s a different kind of a guy. He’s very smart, great guy, and he’s very sincere about this. I mean, he really is." Trump also touched upon the issue of health expenditure, referencing a chart that compared life expectancy with health expenditure per capita across various countries. The chart indicated that the United States, despite its high health expenditure, lagged behind other nations in terms of life expectancy.
