This manhunt, led by the U.S. Marshals, had been ongoing for a week. Wade, who had previously served as a special prosecutor in the election interference case against ex-President Donald Trump in Georgia, had been evading authorities.
As reported by Gateway Pundit, the news of Wade's evasion was first announced on FOX News Channel by Jesse Watters. "Lover boy, Nathan Wade is missing. The House Judiciary Committee, which is investigating Georgia DA Fannie Willis, needs Wade to testify at a hearing tomorrow on their love affair. But no one can find the guy. They’re trying to serve him, but he’s flown the coop, and now the US marshals are in a manhunt to track him down. Have they checked the conduct?" Watters stated.

Russell Dye, a spokesman for the committee, revealed to Newsweek, “The committee issued the subpoena on Friday, attempted to serve the subpoena to Nathan Wade’s lawyer, who declined, and subsequently the committee tried to serve the subpoena via email through Nathan Wade himself, never heard back. As a result, the committee had to use the assistance of the U.S. Marshals, who have also not been able to find Nathan Wade.”

The U.S. House Judiciary Committee is investigating the case management by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and Wade's testimony was crucial to their inquiry. The New York Post reported that Wade was finally served on Thursday night, following the news of the ongoing manhunt for Willis's romantic partner.

Wade, the former prosecutor against Donald Trump, was served a congressional subpoena on Thursday after nearly a week of evading the summons. The subpoena was issued by the House Judiciary Committee last Friday, demanding Wade's presence for a closed-door testimony in the ongoing congressional investigation into Fani Willis and her legal action against President Trump and several of his associates in Fulton County, Georgia.
Renowned attorney Alan Dershowitz has criticized Willis, accusing her of committing “the worst crimes I’ve seen prosecutors commit” after her romantic partner was removed from the case against the former president. This case has raised questions about the integrity of the legal process and the potential misuse of power within the judicial system.
