Susan Wild, who is currently in a precarious position for her reelection bid.
The union's unusual offer was revealed in a text message obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
According to the Daily Caller, the rally, described as a "labor rally/canvass launch," was held on September 7 to bolster support for Wild, who represents the area surrounding Allentown. The Cook Political Report, a non-partisan election analysis organization, has classified her race as a toss-up, indicating the high stakes and uncertainty surrounding her reelection.

The text message, as reported by the Free Beacon, encouraged members to "wear your Union Colors" and offered a $100 stipend for those willing to participate. It remains unclear whether Wild was aware of the financial incentive offered to rally attendees. However, she enthusiastically promoted the event on social media, expressing her gratitude to the "labor leaders, union members & volunteers" who attended the rally and subsequently participated in door-to-door canvassing.

Despite Trump winning Wild's district in 2020, she managed to secure it by a slim margin of two points in 2022, as per the Free Beacon. Requests for comments from Wild's campaign and her office, as well as the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, were not immediately responded to by the Daily Caller News Foundation. This raises questions about the extent of the union's involvement in political campaigns and whether such practices align with the conservative values of many of its members.
