According to Gateway Pundit, the entries in the journal are a disorganized rant in which Hale expresses her discontentment with being born a female and her feelings of being misunderstood by her parents, especially her father. She claims to be a victim of being born the wrong gender and having a 'broken brain.' Most of the journal's pages are filled with Hale's desire to die, which she believes will bring her happiness.
It is evident that Hale was grappling with numerous mental health issues leading up to the shooting. The critical question, however, is what triggered Hale's descent into suicidal and homicidal ideation? It is worth noting that The Tennessee Star reported that Hale had been a psychiatric patient at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) for two decades.

Hale had been diagnosed with at least five mental illnesses and had been administered a mix of psychiatric drugs as 'treatment.' The adverse effects associated with the known drugs (Lorazepam, Buspirone, Lexapro, Hydroxyzine, and Prozac) that Hale had been prescribed could potentially be responsible for her lethal thoughts.

The withholding of Hale's mental health records (Evidence Item #46 "Psych File") from public review raises eyebrows. It is common knowledge that Vanderbilt 'treated' Hale for most of her life. The 'treatment' provided to Hale included talk therapy and mind-altering psychotropic drugs, a cocktail of them, to be precise.

It is worth questioning whether any of the psychiatrists, therapists, or MDs at Vanderbilt ever informed Hale's parents or Hale herself that none of the psychiatric drugs being prescribed were actually treating any known abnormality in the brain. This is known as informed consent, where patients are told the truth about a diagnosis and treatment. However, it is impossible to confirm whether this information was provided to Hale as her mental health records have not been made public.

(MNPD) recommending that 'legacy tokens' (documents that may claim credit for attacks/motives) should not be disseminated to the public.

The BTAC did not list cocktails of mind-altering drugs as a possible reason for mass shootings, which is intriguing given that prescribed psychiatric drugs often form part of a shooter's history. The BTAC has access to Hale's journals and, undoubtedly, her mental health records, which detail the psychiatric drug 'treatments' prescribed to Hale over a twenty-year period. Why wouldn't the FBI's BTAC want the public to have access to that 'legacy token' information?

Is the FBI shielding the pharmaceutical or Behavioral Health Industries? It is a common occurrence that every time there is a mass shooting, legislatures go into crisis management mode and legislate billions of dollars for increased mental health services to 'fix' a shooter problem.

The notion that a mass shooting occurs and suddenly the reason for the violence becomes a lack of mental health services is peculiar. Over the last thirty years, hundreds of billions of dollars have been invested in increased mental health services on a state and federal level, yet ironically, no one seems to be getting better.

Despite the vast amounts of money being poured into mental health services, why isn't the number of mentally ill decreasing? Why aren't the mentally ill getting better? More importantly, why haven't legislators asked these questions?

In order to make effective policy decisions, lawmakers need to have all the information available to them about the shooters. The fact that mental health laws are being passed and billions of dollars are being appropriated without all the information is scandalous.
It is high time for lawmakers to pass legislation that mandates the public release of the mental health information of mass shooters. Until lawmakers are equipped with all the information about these events, no laws will adequately address what may be the cause of these senseless attacks. Continually throwing money at what clearly isn't working is the epitome of insanity.
